Posh Meets Bomb

Well if that title didn’t grab your attention, I don’t know what will! No I’m not talking about some sort of Spice Girl reunion. I’m talking about the styling of two trends that are not typically seen together; the bomber jacket and a super posh full skirt. Why not? I don’t want to insult your fashion intelligence by showing you the obvious ways to wear them (bomber jacket over skinny jeans, posh skirt with a long sleeve fitted sweater tucked in). Lets have some fashion fun!

This look features my three newest additions to The SO Edit shop. I will explain to you why these made the edit and why I love them. And of course, in true SO Edit style, all pieces featured are under $50!

1 – Posh White Skirt  : I think every girl needs a posh, full body skirt. It’s classic, feminine, and let’s be honest, looks super stylish on mostly anyone! I love the texture of the cut-out pattern on this fabric and I chose white because it’s clean and shows the fabric detail while not looking too busy. You can dress it up for an evening outing or wear it with flats and a fitted tee during the day for a casual chic look.

2- Ribbed Choker Top : The choker has been a trend for months and it now being adapted into clothing. This top incorporates that choker detail (attached at the back) as well as the off shoulder trend. I personally like that it’s fitted, not too long, and not a body suit (which this trend is more commonly found in).

3- Black Mesh Bomber Jacket : The bomber jacket is a MUST have this season! I like the sophisticated, yet modern vibe of this one. The material of this one is nice and thick, yet has slight sheerness which makes it adaptable for most temperatures. I also love how it looks with day time clothes and athletic attire. If it transitions from day, to gym, to night out, it earns huge bonus points for me!

So that pretty much sums up the “why” of each piece. Here’s a look at the overall look!
