My Woman Code A-Z’s

Happy International Women’s Day ladies!!! Truth be told, I think of every day as international women’s day because we are all such fierce bad asses (yeah I said it).  I’ve written a few posts geared towards women’s empowerment in the past few years because, as those of you that have been following me since the start know, it’s been my business mission statement since before it was the super cool thing to do. The most recent one being: Empowering The Women In Your Life.

But today, in honor of International Women’s Day, rather than give you a pep talk on how you can conquer the world just as much as any man (OBVI), I wanted to share something a little bit different; “My Woman Code A-Z’s,” focused more on self love for achieving self empowerment. They are reminders I’ve written out for myself for every letter of the alphabet, of actions (or principles) to put into practice, to be the woman I want to be. Notice I use the word “practice” because it’s a conscious effort to follow all of these, all the time. Although I could get preachy and elaborate on all of these, I think they speak for themselves so I won’t.

So here we go! Ladies, please remember, today and every day:

A ~ Accept yourself.

B ~ Believe you can.

C ~ Cut negativity out.

D ~ Dance like nobody’s watching.

E ~ Embrace change.

F ~ Follow your heart.

G ~ God first.

H ~ Help build other women up.

I ~ Invest in yourself.

J ~ Judge no one.

K~ Know your purpose.

L ~ Love fiercely.

M ~ Make time for friends.

N ~ Never say never.

O ~ Old fashioned morals go a long way.

P ~ Play dress up.

Q ~ Quit being hard on yourself.

R ~ Repeat words of affirmation to yourself.

S ~ Smile often.

T ~ Take time outs when you JUST CAN’T anymore.

U ~ Understand the importance of boundaries.

V ~ Value your integrity.

W ~ Wait for the right people, even if it means being alone.

X ~ X out self doubt. Pray instead.

Y ~ Yield your heart.

Z ~ Zap gossip, don’t spread it.

I hope my A-Z’s inspired you, however I also hope it motivates you to write your own if you don’t feel it hit home for you. I’d love to hear yours if you chose to write them, or to know which letters in my code resonated with you the most. Maybe that will be the topic to cover next on the blog!
