Casual LBD Style

I’m constantly on the search for LBD’s to add to my closet (LBD = Little Black Dress.. obvi). I don’t think women need one good one. I think they need several. They are the best way to be prepared for those last minute invites with many “what to wear” unknowns.

I picked this one to feature in The SO Edit shop because I was looking for a dress that would help me prove my point to women that, wearing a dress is basically like wearing a long tee shirt. It’s often thought that wearing a dress means dressing up and more effort but honestly, it takes the same amount of time to put on a dress than it does your favorite oversized teeshirt. Best part, you can dress it up (or down) to adjust that comfort for different occasions. The main reasons I picked this dress to feature the Dress/Tee Shirt point are the following:

  • It’s a flattering fit for most body types.
  • It has the trendy criss cross chest feature and cut out shoulders.
  • The material is super comfortable, moves well, and easy to care for.

I decided to style mine in a dressy casual way, but this could be easily worn with flats or sandals on a regular day for a more casual vibe.
